Meg

Meg fell in love with dancing as a child. She took classes in multiple genres at a local dance school for many years. She began assisting in classes in her late teens and found her love for teaching. 

 

Meg is so proud and honoured of the community that Silhouette Dance has built. She loves nothing more than being able to share her passion and inspiring the next generation.

​

Meg has over 15 years teaching experience. She holds a GCSE A* grade & distinction A level in dance. Dance leadership qualification. Qualified associate freestyle dance teacher with IDTA. Acrotrix Teaching Qualification.

She is also fully insured, first aid trained, DBS checked and holds a chaperone licence,

Abbie

Abbie's passion for dance started from a young age where she regularly attended dance classes across a number of disciplines; Ballet being her favourite. She danced for many years.

She is proud to be a part of the Silhouette Dance family, working alongside Meg, helping to nurture and encourage all dancers

​

Abbie also runs Toddler and Me classes which provides toddlers with the building blocks to help with their confidence, musicality and movement. Please see www.toddlerandme.net for more information.

Abbie is fully insured, first aid trained, DBS checked and holds a chaperone licence.

Emily

Dance Teacher

Emily discovered a love for dancing at a very young age and has taken classes exploring a variety of genres. She began assisting in classes whilst at school and choreographed whole school productions.

 

Emily is excited to have joined the Silhouette Dance team, teaching pre-primary and primary ballet classes, and is keen to share her passion and enthusiasm for dance with others. Her daughter is also loving the ballet tots classes.

 

Emily has been teaching dance since 2010, specialising in ballet, tap, modern, acrobatics and musical interpretation and holds qualifications within these with the CDA. Emily has also been a qualified primary school teacher since 2016.

Sophie started performing at the age of 5 and joined Silhouette Dance when she was 14. Sophie studied dance at school, sixth form and then later went on to graduate at Arden School of theatre in Manchester.

 

She has many years experience teaching and performing. We are so proud to have her back once a month teaching and inspiring the next generation of dancers.​

Taylor

Acro Assistant

Taylor has been dancing since the age of 6. She has been taught by Meg since she opened Silhouette Dance in 2011. 

​

Taylor is extremely passionate about dance and is a huge asset to our dance school. She has many years of experience, performing in pantomimes and entering competitions.

​

She qualified in February 2024 with AcroTrix as an Acro Assistant and works along side Meg helping dancers achieve their acro skills.

 

Taylor is DBS checked, first aid trained and holds a chaperone licence,

Coco

Assistant Teacher

Coco has been taught by Meg since the age of 7. She has flourished over the years into an extremely talented dancer. Her future plans are to turn her passion for dance into a career.

You will see Coco working along side Meg and assisting with the younger street commercial groups.

Chaperones

 

You will often see our wonderful Emma and Jules welcoming dancers in the reception.
We have a brilliant team made up of Taylor, Amy, Charlotte and Lauren helping back stage at performances and events! All our chaperones are fully licensed chaperones and have taken safeguarding training and are DBS checked.
